Trends of our time

  • Increased focus on health and fitness
  • Information and content overload
  • More Nationalism at a macro level, More Individualism at a micro level
  • Focus on money and wealth and to retire early (among 20 year olds) with a loss of interest in vocation and work of itself
  • Curiosity, Truth, Knowledge drop in status & value
  • Drop in spirituality but rise in religious affiliation?
  • More comedy? Mocking, sarcasm and vulgarity?
  • Lower levels of polish and the demand for sophistication
  • More performative authenticity
  • More technology use, more social media use
  • Decline in news
  • Decline in film/TV Celebrity and Rise of the Social Media Celebrity
  • Higher equity investing
  • More Materialism
  • A premium in 'Indian' relatable content and a drift away from the west
  • Higher optimism about the country
  • More favorable view of business. Business has risen in status quite drastically over the past 10 years
  • Drop in status of education as a path to Alpha
  • Law and peer groups driven morality and ethical systems as opposed to religious and spirituality driven
  • Physical appearances and looks more important

These are what are visible to my eye and are free of judgment and implications
